How to read an asset-flow diagram

Distinguish directly observed transfers from analytical links. For a checked step, state network, transaction identifier, addresses, asset and grounds connecting it to the previous stage. Service labels and ownership assumptions are separate from these technical details.

When inflows merge at one address, answering “where did my particular funds go?” requires an explained matching method. Different allocation models are possible. The rule and its impact must be clear, especially if funds later split or enter a service with closed internal records.

What appendices should show

Initial transaction, agreed period and examined route limits.
A table of checked steps, each locatable by its full identifier.
Sources of service names and their verification date.
Where conclusions depend on external exports, assumptions or unavailable internal records.
Discrepancies and alternative explanations not ruled out.

A route ending does not automatically mean assets stopped moving; available data may lose the required detail. The result is then a confirmed segment and a specific list of missing information. Checking public transfers needs no private key, seed phrase or wallet control.
